I really, really lucked out with the Secret Santas this year, because I have received amazing stories.

yuletide I got In The Hazy In-Between, a Tommy/Jack Crash story. (People! DS people especially! Why are there not more of you up in arms, loving this movie? It's written by Paul Haggis, and I think it was one of the best films of the year.) This story is lyrical; beautifully messy and very true to the spirit of the film, in that it feels like an evolution.
This is why I don't normally rec things, or post a lot of feedback -- I fail miserably at expressing the sheer extent of the love I feel for stories.
Whee! My recipients in both SeSas actually replied this time around. That is both rare and pleasing.
