So. Historically, birthdays are not a good time for me. Yesterday went rather well in comparison. I just tend to get bummed that everyone forgets, but a few people remembered yesterday, so that started it off better, right off.
Went to the Ex (read: The Saskatoon Prarieland Exhibition) with a couple of friends. It was fun, but the brother decided to tag along. They humoured me while I went on the kiddie rides, because I'm not that fond of being turned upside down and whipped in a circle on a track going up and down in a circle.
We went to see the Adam Gregory show. Read: Young, cute, tres talented country singer. I got him to sign the silly little cow I won at one of the midway games, and he gave me a hug. He's such a neat guy.
The nightly fi reworks went off while we were waiting in the autograph line, and they were so much nicer than the little ones we occasionally have out at the farm. They were just... Awesome. And it was kind of neat, because it was my birthday and all. (Yes, I *know* t hey were for the Ex. I'm not that deluded.)
Had car trouble on the way home, because my brother offered a ride to a friend who lives way out of the way, and they were sitting in there with the car light on, even though he knew we were having trouble with the batter on that car. By the time we got to that guy's house, the headlights were as good as gone, and we were creeping along. It seems the alternator is broken. Again. Spent an hour charging that, got home around 2. Had to get up at 8 because I had to work another bingo today. We were $10.52 up over all, over what paper sales should have been, and now there's going to be some huge investigation, because apparently, we're ripping off customers. It's not unusual for a bingo to be down $100, and now there's going to be a huge to-do about this.
I got a miniature potted palm for my birthday. ::G:: And lip chap. I needed lip chap in a bad way.
And that's about it. Happy birthday to me. I need to remember to renew my license.s
