It may or may not have been apparent, but I've been a bit behind on LJ lately. My apologies.

To remedy this (and because I have a few new people on my flist), I thought I'd dig up and oldy (but goody):

Recommend to me a story of your own that you're particularly proud of. Something new, something old I might have missed, something you love to bits. I shall read it, and respond. I'll peruse pretty much any fandom, but I'm afraid I don't read graphic sex.* Long stories with it, I'll do, as long as it's not the entire point.


* Yes, I am aware that I am the least cool person in all of fandom, but it's just not really my thing.

Hmm, non graphic. I'm pretty proud of my latest DW, Pamplona not Barcelona. PG. Ten/Rose. Romantic bit of fluff, but I quite like how it turned out.

It's the first part of a 3 part series, second is Life on Mars, clocking in at PG-13 and there's making out the whole time, but they don't get past 2nd base (though there's a mention of third), and the last story is Veronica Mars, and quite the NC-17 so you're going to want to steer clear.

Don't have a lot of non porny stories (cause it's totally my thing, the smut) but I do enjoy pure romance as well.

It's very nice. *G* I love your use of imagery throughout, and it's just marvelously lyrical.

She's chewing ice and watching blood run down her leg., breeze kicks up, blows her hair into her mouth. Sticks on what lip gloss survived the running. and the bit about Rose actually wearing sneakers are my favourite bits. (Sometimes, I think there ought to be a shoe check on the way out the TARDIS. "Okay, anyone not wearing sensible shoes, back to your rooms, and don't come out until you'd be comfortable rock climbing for your lives.)

No, as I'm said, I'm well aware that I am the least cool person in all of fandom -- I just tend to love gen. There are few things I adore like characterization porn, stories that take a character and really dig in to what made them who they are, and how they work. I do love a good backstory.
