Referential to other things.

Excerpt from my work log book:

"All exposures failed to show the presence of any and all photosynthetic proteins. As such, I have been forced to conclude that my algal cultures have been replaced with exceedingly tiny velociraptors. "

Excerpt from a letter from my landlord:

"Surprise! $100 rent increase per month, bitch!"

Excerpt from a conversation with my sunburn:

"It's been five days, so now I am going to start sloughing off due to excessive DNA damage, and return you to your usual, pristine white. Have fun at the lake over the long weekend!"

In conclusion: Yay, lake! Boo, saturated housing market and aquatic velociraptors!

Can you appeal the rent rise at all?

I really, really can't. Our housing market at the moment is ridiculous, and there are virtually no laws protecting renters. *hates*

Gah. Gah. Ours went up $150 a month not long ago, too. And there are NO vacant properties, so.

Mine went up $80 in May, as well. Given the housing market in this city, it is likely to continue its sickening upward spiral.

Ick. Time to consider sharehousing?

Your log book is a lot more fun than any notebook of mine. (:

I like to keep myself amused. When I'm working with acrylamide or other such nasty things, I tend to label with notes that read "Caution: Toxic to your neurons," or things of the like.

At least I amuse myself?
