Note to self: Do not answer fic-related emails when your account has been reconfigured to your real name for college application purposes.

Note from self: And why didn't you think of this earlier?

T-self: Who says I didn't?

F-self: We're the same person! We inhabit the same body!

T-self: You're just upset because you didn't think about it, and people gave you odd looks.

F-self: They'd be giving us *both* odd looks! And there's a name for this sort of behavior, you know.

T-self: For what? Forgetting things like going through the long and arduous process of changing your email address? You can't be senile. You're in high school.

F-self: NO! And we've been through this. 'There's a name for this.' Talking to yourself. Ring a bell?

T-self: I'm not talking to myself. I'm talking to you.

F-self: GAAAAH!

T-self: Oh, be quiet. LJ is working again for free users, so you're talking to someone, at least. Now go and work on university applications.

F-self: I hate you. Just so you know.

T-self: ... And you think *I* have issues?

*laughing* This sounds very familiar... the same thing happened to me, except I accidently answered email from my teacher with my fic name. I'm fervently hoping she never Googled it. :) After that I invested in two seperate email addresses, and never had an embarrassing mixup since.

::Laughs:: Well, it's good to know I'm not the only one. My problem with keeping two email addresses is that I have a hard enough time keeping one working. I'm at hotmail now, but it's the fifth address I've had in less than two years, because they keep eating emails, or eating the things I was sending, or cutting off the ends of stories I was posting. Or deciding that they just didn't want me to send any email at all, or that they wanted me to *keep* that email about enlarging ... certain body parts ... of which I am not in possession.

And it should be noted that, out of curiousity, I Googled for my real name. And found that I was listed with CanThrow, Sask Athletics, and from various track meets, as well as through our school's SRC page, this net-based grassroots project I took place in, among other things. All of which seem to have information on where I live. I'm just going to trust that these people aren't the crazy ones.

Of course, I just typed up an involved conversation with myself.

Who am I to call someone else crazy?

See, this is why I have multiple email addresses. One for work-related and fmaily who I KNOW will never switch over wfrom when it was my only email *g*, one for school, one for fic and related stuff, and one for spam. :)
