Query: When one is writing a report/presentation, approximately how many spoken minutes is a written page?

I think it's two to three minutes a double-spaced page, but it depends on how you read.

-- Crap.

Two twenty-five to thirty minute presentations to write by Wednesday @ 2(25/2.5)=20.

20 pages.

I'm up the creek.

*nods* I think it's something like that speed. Find something you've already got written up and time yourself reading that out. And then assume that you'll be reading a bit faster because of nerves to get a rough idea of how fast you read.

If it's at all possible, it's a good idea to aim to be slightly under the time limit they've set - it's less inconvinent for anyone doing the scheduling than having people running over. And that way you'll have time for any questions. :)

At the above calculations, I have to write twenty pages at the lower limit. ::Headdesk::

It's better to know, right?

Anyway...

Thank, hon.

Make sure to include question time. That will take up maybe ...five, ten minutes. Let them know that you've included that in your talk.

*hugs* good luck, mate.

Unfortunately, there's a scheduled question period after the allotted presentation time.

It was a good thought, though. *G*

It can definitely vary. The high school kids I judged read a page to page and a half essay at singlespace in 4 minutes.

Good luck!!
