kielle was fierce. She didn't just build a fandom, she built a community. It limped along after she left, but I don't think that anyone would claim that it was ever quite the same.
She was this larger-than-life figure to me when I first found fandom, and if I want to be honest with myself, she always will be. She took the time to welcome me even though I was young and kind of a stupid kid. I was 15 when I stumbled in. I can't believe that it's been five years, and I can't quite process that she's gone.
I wish I'd know her better.
