I play FIRST clarinet. We had a concert a couple of days ago, and my A key pad came off, so my clarinet came WAY out of tune. During my solo, I play an A for a half note, so I was really pissed, because it sounded so bad. It came off in the second song, and we play seven songs. It was absolutley horrible. I wanted to cry.
Awwww. I can completely understand the wanting to cry. Instruments breaking is completely awful, especially during a performance. I'm the only oboe player, and I have first flute on most pieces.
Are you in a traveling band?
Nope. We have a group band for our school division, and I play in the senior band. We were on an in-division tour for recruitment purposes. Much fun. Except for the breakage.
