You are most decidedly made of awesome, and I will adore whatever you come up with.
A few of my general likes and dislikes:
A++
1. Characterization porn. There is nothing I love more than sinking my teeth into some nice, juicy, characterization.
2. Shades of grey and moral intricacies.
3. Gen, slash, het, drama, angst, humour, violence, snappy dialogue, prose. I'm pretty easy, really.
Not really my thing:
1. Graphic sex. I'm okay with het and slash, but I'd rather skip over the nitty gritty, if that's cool.
2. Character bashing. I think this one is pretty much a given, yes? I feel silly saying it, but I felt I should have some sort of a second point in here.

Specifically, by Fandom:
Chronicles of the Kencyrath
I am just head over heels in love with these books, though I'm afraid I haven't managed to get my hands on the third one yet. Kindrie is really fantastic, and I would love something that focused around him. Dealing with his powers and his heritage, perhaps. Maybe working with Jame, or helping overcoming some of Torisen's prejudice and self-hate.
This is pretty much the only fandom in which incest doesn't freak me out, so if you're feeling like (non-graphic) Jame/Kindie/Torisen, that would be fantastic as well.
Power Play
Oh, Power Play, my old favourite show. I would adore something Colleen-centric, post-series. Colleen/Brett is about the closest thing I have to an OTP, and I would love desperately for them to have some sort of real closure. If you're not feeling the Colleen/Brett love, just something examining their respective issues would be fantastic. I would like for Colleen to have something of a hopeful ending, as opposed to where the show left us.
Dexter (tv)
I love Maria, because she's deeply flawed, and she fucks up, but she cares, and she tries. Also, she has moments of complete bad-assness and vulnerability that I adore. Anything featuring her, or her and her squad, her people, would be fantastic.
Generation X (comic)
Gen X was my fannish gateway drug, and I have a huge amount of nostalgia for the good old days. I'm an Emma fangirl from way back, and I would love anything about her (or her and Sean) dealing with their students. Emma is, first and foremost, a teacher. If you're not comfortable with Emma, I also have a special place in my heart for Angelo and Paige. I know Sam Guthrie isn't on the list, but if you felt like throwing him into the mix, it wouldn't go awry.
Ensemble in this fandom would also be brilliant. Humour or seriousness. If you want to use pairings, I'm partial to Emma/Sean, Emma/Sam, or Angelo/Paige; however, I also love gen.
Thank you very much for writing for me! I hope I've managed to provide a few ideas without boxing you into any corners, hence throwing ideas about wildly -- really, I'm pretty easy to please.
In other news, my paid LJ time is about to expire, so I am all a-twitter to find out which five LJ icons I shall be left with. Maybe LJ will look deep into my soul to decide.
