I have a Christmas tree! It is my first proper tree, and it is gorgeous. As well, smells fantastic. Fantastically like pine, in fact. It covers the random odour of mothballs that has cropped up in my apartment lately, for no discernible reason. This is all very exciting. Decorations are somewhat sparse, but it is my tree!

I also have a camera! It is my first proper camera, as well. It does not smell like pine, but it takes shiny photos. A meme went around a while back, where people offered to take photos of things for people upon request -- the view of the grocery store parking lot from their balcony, or the like.

Request a photo, and you shall receive!

In other news: still hanging in there. This has been an absolutely excruciating term (and year) for a whiny variety of reasons I've really tried not to burden people with. Finals are 20% over, though. I'm attempting to be a 'glass 20% full' rather than a 'glass 80% empty' sort of gal.

I have been semi-clipping for a vid about Heroes' tendency to create powerful women with no agency. I was somewhat annoyed before I started this. When you condense it all down? It's pretty bad.


In conclusion: Seriously, people, give me something to take pictures of. I am just looking for opportunities to take photographs of things.

Hahahahaha, I'm 25% done. 5% better than you, suckah! ... except that I kinda did badley on the first one. It generally sucked. I had a really good mark going in, though. That's what I'm clinging to.

And, because I'm pretty sure I asked you this before but I don't remember the answer, when do you get to Montreal? The Wednesday night? Partay! I get there on the previous Saturday to hang out with some of the JFs. Woot!

Oh, god, my grades this term and going to be horrendous. I think I might be off the honour roll. But I had a really shitty year, right? Between death of others and my being in the hospital, it counts for something, right? I hate that this year counts for grad school applications. *dead*

Alas, I am only getting to Montreal on Wednesday evening. Most my chapter is taking the week off and going on Saturday anyway, but I had to be responsible. I hate you all, and am wickedly excited to see you and everyone else.

We need to do something this year!
