cherryHave you ever finished a fic, then suddenly realized that you have no place to post it outside of CTL or FF.net?
I'm done with my Harry Potter story. Went to post it, and realized that I didn't have any place to do that. It's the strangest feeling...
It's up on my site, and CTL. I don't suppose anyone knows where the HP people hang out?
Otherwise, today was good. I'm officially done with the Servery for this year, and that is for whatever reason much more exciting than being done with classes.
The BBQ went off almost without a hitch. All of our stock is gone, save for pop, and I called Coke to get that taken care of. I filled the pop machines because the admin wants stock in them over the summer. I managed to get a couple of guys to help me, and for a bit, I almost thought that I was going to get to play ball. (I haven't gotten a single of my games since grade nine, when I started organizing this thing.)
Alas, it did not happen, mainly because I was waiting to talk to the principal for more than half an hour, because she wanted to see me when I was done. I finally said 'Screw this' and went outside. And where was she? Standing on the ball diamond.
::Mutters::
I got to do the goofy hit-run-throw competition though. Probably actually a good thing that I wasn't outside in the heat of the day, because I burn faster than anyone I know, even when I'm wearing sunblock, and it was mid-high thirties today. Looked after the pie-throwing booth for the short time we had it open, because no one else was. I'd managed to stay nice and clean, except that RN thought that I looked a little too clean, so he came over and nuzzled me a bunch. Wouldn't have been so bad except for that his hair was as full of pudding as the rest of him. ::G:: That's what sprinklers are good for, though.
Finally got my sawhorses picked up from the shop. Headed up to the city with the family. Stopped at the gas station, and got stared at by an old man. I actually have books now! Real books, for me to read!
Ahem. Pardon the geekiness. I just don't get to have books all that often, is all. When I do get them, I have to get a ton because few of them ever actually manage to hold my interest. Attention span of a cricket, and all.
All in all, a pretty good day.
