So. Turns out I was kind of right to be paranoid.

I got to the bingo hall alright. Then, while there, many things went wrong that were thisclose to costing me $50-$140.

So I was driving over to Grandma's, because I was going to stay over night and just head out to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan. I was motoring along the freeway, and I noticed that the lights on the instrument display were dim. Battery light wasn't on, though. A couple of minutes later, the car died.

So there I was, dead on the side of the freeway at 1 AM, no one stopping, clicks from Grandma's. Luckily, J and B hadn't left town yet, and they stopped. We spent an hour trying to get it going. (At first, they actually thought I was a traffic cop, because I was wearing red wind pants with a stripe down the side.) We did get it going. Several times, actually. It just kept dying, after running a couple hundred metres, just long enough for us to get up hope. In the end, we pushed it across the divided freeway, and they took me to grandma's. My uncle called a tow truck in the morning, and we got it brought back to grandma's place. It's not the battery, because charging it doesn't work. J, B, and L were going to come and pick me up to take me to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, since I had no way car. They were late, so grandma insisted on taking me down, even though she hates driving downtown. I figured that as soon as we left, they'd show, and low and behold...

We missed them by about five minutes. B and J thought that Hamlet was an hour later than it was, so she had to wait for them to wake up, and for J to get to B's house, so they were running behind. Saw Shakespeare. It was very well performed, and the costumes were gorgeous (or creepy where they were supposed to be), even though even with parts left out it was a little long. The actors have pathways ranging among the audience (The entire thing is held in a tent) and I had the isle seat. At one point I looked over to find that the ghost of Hamlet's father had materialized at my elbow.

We went for a... Well, whatever you call a meal in the middle of the afternoon. Dropped off J and B, then called my folks so they could pick me up at the corner off the highway. Did that. Came home, where we're entertaining people. I'm taking a bit of a break, because I can't seem to go for more than twenty minutes without acquiring a covering of kids. It's raining, but not enough to do any good for the crops.

It's always a hit, going back to my family after hanging out with my friends. I came though the door, my brother said 'No one cares' and my sister said 'Shut up!' before I'd as much as opened my mouth.

Tomorrow, we're going to try the car again, but my instincts say it's messed. I believe it's not the battery, as Dad is convinced: Jumping it from J's car didn't help, the clock still keeps times, and according to the charger, it's running at full power.

Going up to see LotR as a family in the morning and attempt to shop. I'll pretend that I don't notice that they've forgotten my birthday again (It's on Thursday.) Quality time with the family. Yay. ::Head on desk::

It's been a loooong few days. All the babysitting, then the hell-bingo and after-midnight-broken-car, much mix-up and cross running around at Shakespeare, the constant belt of kids attaching themselves to me (Which, normally, I don't mind, but I'm a bit out of it by this point.) I'm just waiting on a beta, and then for Indiana to get back from Dexcon so I can through some things at her, and then I should have Karma Downs out of the way and ready to post. Then I'm going to start in-depth university and scholarship research.
