I've been much with the lack of updating. Twisted my ankle at our home tournament, though, has left me with a sudden surplus of time. It's not hurting in the ankle itself, but rotating around the sides and the back of my leg, up to my knee. My coach thinks it's ligaments. It's healing, but for now, I'm stuck sitting around.
I've realized I really do spend a lot of time working out.
Our last game was yesterday. And, as much as I like volleyball, I love basketball. (Okay. So this might have something to do with the fact that I happen to be better at it, but that's allowed.) My one goal for this game was to not start with the freak-ish bleeding, which I had the last time we played this team.
So, of course, I caught a fist with my face at the end of the quarter when a girl was smacking for the ball. Managed to get back in for the last few minutes of the last quarter, though.
Our SRC volunteered at a telethon. Telemiracle is like... It's Saskatchewan's *thing.* Every year, we raise millions of dollars for the disabled. We did the totals, but because they were running eight acts behind, they cut half of our tallies. And didn't take the time to sweep over our faces. Still, it was pretty cool. We got our picture taken with the Wilkinsons, and posters signed by some of the stars. We went out for dinner before (after those of us who play basketball had scattered to our/friends houses and cleaned up.) We stayed for a while afterwards, to watch the onair presentations, and because some of the guys had come out to see us despite the cold and the late.
Unfortunately, we went out to the balcony, leaving our stuff backstage, and they wouldn't let us back. Eventually this was remedied. Went out for a while after my car got back to where I'd left my car. I got home by four, but unfortunately, my mom woke me up for work in the morning, when I happened to not be going. Have I mentioned lately that I dislike being a gas jockey?
I tried to cook. I ended up locking my food into the oven.
Yes, that's right. I locked my food. Into the oven.
There's no need to point out how sad this is.
I've got everything except my transcripts and financial statement at Toronto. Dad's not agreeing to fill out my financial stuff for me. Saskatchewan applications aren't due until mid-May. Queens, I have to finish some online stuff, and then the transcripts.
... Time sure is flying by.
We're starting to really gear up for grad. I, being my silly self, signed up for both decorating and planning of the curling rink, where we hold ceremonies; and the club room, where we have the banquet. We tend to hold meetings for both at the same time, so the bulk of my attention is going to the rink.
Easter, we're going on our culture club trip. I'm really looking forward to it. We're hitting Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal. I've never been on a plane or a train before. Or a large city . Or really, a non-school bus. This is going to kick ass.
