Under threat of kamikaze dress shopping while on our culture club trip, and grad starting to loom rather close, I went looking for a grad dress today.

I don't own a dress. I have no particular drive to *wear* a dress. I don't like pink, I don't like lace, and I don't like ruffles. -- And yes, dress shopping with me is about as much fun as bear-baiting. Do you have any idea how bloody frustrating it is to spend the entire day swimming in the hips of dresses and not being able to close the bust? I spent the day with women shoving silly, frilly things at me, in colours that would make Shirley Temple gag, and listening to them tut-tut when they found out that my grad is on May 9.

We're going to make something, because with the amount of alteration we'd have to do anyways -- It's looking like it's going to be copper/black, in the material that changes colour depending on the light. But with sparklies. And cut away/overlapped at the side to reveal black mesh over something copper.

In the end, though -- It's still a dress. Which was my basic problem with everything I tried on or looked at today.

On the other hand: wandered Ten Thousand Villages and got to play with all the neat musical instruments, and found a wonderful little cafe already depopulated by our first Starbucks.

Nebulous: Still woozy. Haven't passed out again recently, but the dizzy is still here. Things aren't jumping, but they're slowly rotating, and I've developed some nausea, as well as this weird pressure in my head and behind my eyes..

Report card: Not too shabby. Calculus, I'm on percent behind one other guy. Every other academic, I'm top student, or tied for top. Work Ed, I've got an 89%, which is still a strong A, but there are some placements that just gave their students fives all around.

Things I have learned recently:
If you pass out in class on April Fool's day, no one will be quite sure what to think at first.
Rereading your meager selection of comics will not inspire you, it will smack you upside the head with how little you know, and just how much you're running around with your eyes closed.
The library is a neat place to get CDs.
Putting off mailing in your transcripts may screw you over in a bad way.
I need someone to smack me over the back of the head when I take on too much. Say, when I'm already signed up for one, but go 'Oh, yeah! Hit me with another!'
CSS is a fun toy.
