Jun. 2nd, 2006 04:28 pmI would like to say, for the record, that
tellitslant rocks like a rocking thing that rocks.
I'm working on a Jack/Romana II story at the moment, and it's kind of like pulling teeth. I've been writing it for a few days now; I'm at 1500 words, and all I've managed to do was get Romana to tell Jack her name. This isn't how I usually write -- I normally kick things around in my head until the imagery is clear and I have a title, then I write the story in a sitting or two. This is (reluctantly) coming together in bits and pieces, and I suppose that means that it's either going to be of acceptable quality, or inexpertly disjointed.
It is a gorgeous day here, 32 C. My apartment is in a remarkably convenient area of town, right off one of the main roads, near grocers and restaurants and movies and pizza, a fifteen minute bike ride to campus.
However, no one told me about the danger of west-facing windows when I was apartment hunting. Ick. I suppose I'm just lucky that Saskatchewan summers tend to be rather shorter than our winters.
