To think that in a year, I will have officially graduated from highschool. It sneaks up on you, even when you're watching for it.

Mom picked up our report cards from town today. I've got a 91.4% cumulative, which could probably have been better, but is still pretty decent.

::Beams:: My band teacher loves me. She doesn't quite know what to make of me, but she loves me. She wrote a really nice note on my eval sheet.

If nothing else this year, I have succeeded in thoroughly confusing all of my teachers. They all don't quite know what to make of me. Especially my creative writing teacher.

I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for him. My shop teacher and math teacher are the same person, and he's rather fond of me when he's being the shop teacher. Not so much when he's being my math teacher, but that's a whole other story. ::G::

There was a note on my report card in AllCaps, telling me to go immediately to my creative writing teacher's room. As I didn't go in, this wasn't possible, and mom didn't see it until she'd left the school, it resulted in quite a bit of confusion and phoning back and forth.

What I've been able to pick up is that I'm into the AP program. Most of our class wrote the entrance exam, myself and three others were recommended. (Three rather good friends, btw.) The teacher's going to be emailing us a big reading list that he wants done over the summer, consisting mainly of very heavy, very dry books.

We're also being sent to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan (The city's annual Shakespeare festival) to see Hamlet. Field trip in the summer! Yay! ::Pauses:: It seems suspiciously like extra work, but I'm told we're going to be getting a lot of that, and hey, we get to go see a play. He wants to come with us as well. If he's coming with us, then that means that I may have a chance to get my writing portfolio back. He told me that I'd get it with my report cards, but he seems to have hung on to it for whatever reason. At the very least, I'd like my folder back.

It's a cute one, okay? It has flying M&Ms on it, and most of my writing is somewhere I can get a hole of another copy after summer break's over.

I've been recruited to paint faces at the local fair tomorrow afternoon. Last year, they were swamped so I wandered on over and offered to help. Apparently, the woman who's organizing it was so impressed by the job I did that she's been trying to hunt me down at school for the past week.

That didn't go so well. ::G:: I'm all over the place so much of the time that school admin has a hard time tracking me down.

Of course, I often don't want them tracking me down, as it usually means that they have another job for me...
