So. I went to the MediClinic today to see the doctor today. He suspected a break or fracture, but the x-rays didn't show anything. He's going to get the radiologist to take a look at them, and I may have to come in for more. I've been having some shooting pain in my forearms as well as aching in my entire wrist.

In the mean time, I've been prescribed the RICE treatment (Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation) and I'm not allowed to play volleyball for at least another week. I'm not supposed to be doing any lifting either, so I'm going to need some help in the Servery, and gym and IA are going to be difficult. ::Grumble:: Have you ever tried to carry lumber with one arm?

Out of curiosity: Of those of you who've had x-rays, have any of you ever felt something when they took them? A tingling, a vibration, or something else? Because I mentioned that I always did to the lab tech who was taking mine, and she said that someone had mentioned to her the other day that he could feel something, too. So I'm not the only odd one. ::G::

Nothing much else of note going on. Spent too much money on CDs today. The new Fuel, Bif Naked's 'I Bificus', and No Doubt's 'Return of Saturn'. Which so wasn't even close to what I intended on getting, but they were all on sale. A&B Sound may be one of the coolest stores around, but I always come out with odd things...

At least I don't have to be up for 5:30 for practice for the next week. Mwahahaha.

*hugs* I hope you arm's okay, mate.

And I went and took you advice that you gave me the other day, ad had a look for Our Lady Peace CDs. $30. And that was at JB-HiFi, and they're usually pretty cheap.

$30. Yeesh. I mean, I know that it's a new CD and all but still. (Ah, I'm just spoiled from always buying old stuff, that never tends to cost more than $25, max. *g*)

I actually broke my collarbone and it didn't show up on x-rays at the time. Later on, when I had some neck/sholdure problems, it showed up as healed.

Have you ever tried to carry lumber with one arm?

Actually, yes. ;-) Granted, it was firewood...

C - hope your wrist gets better soon. Pain is not fun, but enjoy the sleeping in! :) It's been years since I've had an x-ray, but I don't remember any funny feeling...

I have a Saskatchewan reference for ya! Kat will appreciate it too. :) It's a Direct TV commercial promoting "NHL Center Ice," their hockey season package. It's two hockey players playing "MOOSE." He said if you want to play hockey well, play a game of MOOSE every day. If you want to be a REALLY good player, play Saskatchewan.

All three of my CDs together were about $40, but they were on sale, like I'd mentioned. I tend to get my music for $17 a disk, because over here, new releases and best sellers are cheaper, and most single disks are still only $20-$22.

Of course, it still means that I have more than a thousand bucks worth of music...

::Wince::

They're probably going to be taking a few more on my wrist, because the radiologist didn't see anything.

My brother actually broke his arm about a year ago, and it was very obviously broken, but the X-Rays actually didn't show it, either. But then again, I know a girl who was mistakenly casted until they injected dye into her bone marrow.

Yeah, Jen, I don't get it. But I'm glad Cherry seems to. Must be a Saskatchewan thing.

'Cause like, they don't have NHL hockey in Saskatchewan. They do have a football team though, who we BEAT today! Hahahahaha!

;)

Oh, and dude, I just noticed on one of your other posts you were listening to Bad Day by Fuel. ROCK ON! I love that song! I wrote a whole fic out of it. *g*

Dude you were promised Margaret/Sam fic too??? I thought you were just promised CJ/Josh fic. EXCELLENT!! Gives Cherry even more of a reason to write the fic. Especially since she can't do much else with her wrist! :):)

No, dude, I said I'd write her Sam/Margaret fic in return for her writing me CJ/Josh.

And do not, do not, DO NOT EVER write that as M/S. M/S is MULDER AND SCULLY and ALWAYS WILL BE.

Awww, M&S . . . *sniffles*.

Yeah, but S/M is... Well, it's a warning put on some certain types of fics. And I find that a bit more disturbing, as the amount of Mulder/Scully fic in the West Wing fandom is next to nil.

Or, it's about the amount of Mulder/Scully I'll be writing at all...

Oh, and the plot bunnies are massing. Just so's you know. ::G::
