... Yeah, I'm boring. Just silly stuff. Real life, all that junk. I have been trying to keep these shorter and less frequent, because... Well, I'm just trying to be considerate. ::G:: At least it's a limited audience that this is inflicted upon. Or, probably more correctly, it's a limited audience reading this because I *do* inflict this upon them.

I'm still trying to get my reference letters for that scholarship application that's due in Toronto Dominion next Thursday. I left volleyball on Wednesday night to go to division band to get my letter from our band director, and she forgot again. ::Head on desk:: Because of this, I also missed that tomorrow morning's practice was canceled, and save for a fortunate twist of fate, I would be sitting outside of the school for two hours come morning.

We did our recording for the Snowflake CD. The fact my second attempt at playing the bells is going to be on a CD amuses me. They had the mike right in close, and I had this unfortunate tendency to hit it with my mallets on the way up. We went bowling afterwards, and our band director snuck us musicians a pitcher of Pepsi and chips as a reward. She really is great, even if she is forgetful. And at one point, I nearly broke the bowling alley, and there was much crashing and flying and thumping, but it all ended well. Or at least, it ended without much mass destruction.

Speaking of mass destruction: We had our Expert Fair at school today. Basically, every kid in the school made up a display about something they considered themselves an expert at. Or, well, just something they thought that they could pull together a presentation at.

It went better than was expected. Some of the displays were really interesting, although the ones with the live weapons worried me a bit. Especially considering the people who were huddled around them...

It turns out that the reason we were having so much trouble with Coke (Yes, even more so than usual) is that our account manager has not worked for Coca-Cola for somewhere around five months. And yes, I was still being transferred over to him.

Our new account manager came out earlier in the week. She seemed... Well, non-evil. Which is high praise when it comes to people affiliated with Coca Cola Bottling, Ltd. I get the feeling that the reason our old account manager is not longer around is related to the difficulties we've had with Coke, and their not being limited to our school. She seems... Eager... to make amends.

Okay, she's trying to buy us off. We're getting a new bottle machine, to replace the one we have, which passed a decade some time ago. I actually feel kind of sorry for her. It seems she's been getting the same 'Coke is evil!' from most of the accounts she's taken over.

It turns out that our contract with Coke is over much sooner than I thought it was. In a few months, actually. There's a lot of ill will towards Coke in our school, not over the machines, product mix up, repair, and service, which is basically just my hassle, but also over the scoreboard we have in the gym. It was part of our contract, but the lights burn out something like once a week. It's been an insane amount of money to upkeep. Sometimes, you can know what the score is, and still not be able to decode the display.

The problem is, we don't know if things would be any better if we went elsewhere, and we don't really have enough time to guage if 'our service wasn't the way that Coke does business any more.' On a selfish level - overseeing a complete switch over would be a bit of a hassle. We'd probably be without product for a number of weeks in the interim, we'd lose the fridges in the servery, which we kind of need to keep things from going bad, we'd have to unstock and resupply all product, vent the machines, transport them out, and then do the reverse to get everything new in. We'd also probably have to reset quite a few prices, and instruct them on how, exactly, to get to the school. Which would be a bit of a hassle, especially as that's about when I'll be doing the university application thing. But if it's looking like it's going to be better for the school in the long run, I can handle it.

I'm stuck on one bloody scene in a fic that I've been done for a month. After I fix it, I can post it. Finally. Hopefully.

Oh, bother, I just jinxed myself, didn't I?

Other stuff? There's a dance Friday tomorrow night. I need to find a costume, being SRC and all. I finally got my do bok, and we might get to start learning to break boards soon. I chauffeured my sister and her friends around, and in turn she got tattled on my for driving too fast. And she didn't even have how fast I was going right! She claimed I was doing 20km/hour more than I was actually doing. I mean, I had people with me. I drive at insane speeds when I'm by myself, or late, but not when I have people with me. I've been getting about five hours of sleep a night for the past month and a half, and it's starting to catch up to me.

Done now.

(And a happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] kielle)
