Thank you! That was one of the things I was trying for most -- to fill out the world/people around them a bit, because I do think that sometimes we (or I, rather) get caught up in the central characters and forget that while they are central, they aren't singular.
...which took a moment to register and then made me laugh till my stomach hurt.
And *that* was one of my favourite lines to write.
