Four posts in four days. I feel like I'm spamming, for some reason.

LJ Interests meme results

1. care bears:
   Care bears were an integral part of my childhood. For many years, it was just about the only thing my parents would let me watch.
   
   I actually own two care bears (given to me by others, of course). They sit on top of my desk's hutch and look after me.
2. engineers without borders:
   Engineers Without Borders is an amazing group. They're a student-run volunteer group. We do overseas development work involving IT and technology -- setting up training centres and water systems, that sort of thing. I less than three my chapter.
3. firefly:
   It's Firefly.
   
   Big Damn Movie on September 30th! Wheeeee!
4. herbal tea:
   I don't drink coffee. I don't drink black tea. I get tired of hot chocolate if I drink it frequently, plus it's not exactly good for you. There are a lot of days when you want something warm to wrap your hands around, and it comes in so very many flavours. Drinking in class helps keep me awake, and there are only so many litres of water one can drink in a day.
5. john butler trio:
   I'm a little off them at the moment, to be honest -- but they're intelligent music, highly instrumental.
6. obscure pairings:
   Because obscure pairings are more fun. You can't fall into fannon, and you always have something new to say about the characters in the context they share within the story. A lot of the time, obscure pairing stories take more work, and the payoff is brilliant.
   
   Plus, I tend to adore the less-popular characters, so any pairing involving them tends to be therefore obscure.
7. power play:
   Favourite show ever. What else can I say?
   
   I would do serious bodily harm for the DVDs, or even VHS.
8. spongebob squarepants:
   He lives in a pineapple under the sea. Actually, I far prefer Fairly Odd Parents.
9. the beatles:
   Who doesn't love The Beatles?
   
   'Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Dah' and 'With a Little Help From My Friends' are two of my favourite songs ever. Also, my best tank top is this guy's ball-shirt-with-no-sleeves that has 'The Beatles' written across the front.
10. writing:
    In case you're new to the program, I like writing. *G* Some days, I even consider myself to be slightly proficient.
