cherry: (winter)

Okay, wow, it's definitely winter now. Twenty-one degrees below zero.

To my wonderful Yuletide Secret Santa:

Above all else, I adore character studies. While I have asked for specific pairings in each fandom, I'd be happy with a character study with subtext. I'm afraid I don't do NC-17, so I'd really appreciate it if there were to be no graphic sex. I like happy and hopeful endings, but I do appreciate bittersweet ones as well.

Chronicles of the Kencyrath: As I've said, I adore Kindrie. I'd love to see something exploring the connections between Kindrie, Jame, and Torisen, their coming into or coming to deal with the ties that bind them. Kindrie especially, but I'd also be pleased with an examination of Torisen's prejudice and fear. I'm down with Kindrie/Torisen, Kindrie/Jame, and even a tasteful smoosh.

Power Play: I don't really have much to add to my request, there. I want Colleen and Brett to get a happy ending, because I have so much love for them.

Crash: I would love to see something dealing with the fallout, with Ryan's growth and Hanson coming to terms with what he's done. The movie was almost physically painful for me to watch, but I still loved it beyond the telling. I'm not asking for a happy ending if it's forded, but I'd like to see Ryan/Hanson and some sort of hope.

The Rundown: Yes, this is the anomalous entry on the list. I'd adore Beck/Travis, non-graphic with some sort of caper or escapade. A bit of humour wouldn't go awry, either.

Thank you, Secret Santa.

Twenty-one below zero?!?!? *dies*

How warm does it get there in the summer?

Well, keep in mind that that's Celcius. It's about... um, -7 F, I think. It'll get much, much colder before it gets warmer.

As for how hot it gets, it can go up to +40 sometimes, which is about 100F.

Oh, it's not that bad. I mean, it's cold, but it could (and will) be worse. It's not like it's already 'exposed skin freezes in seconds' or anything.

...

Just.

...

I am *so* glad I don't live in Saskatchewan, because I would die in winter.

Oh, you wouldn't die. You'd just be very cold, and buy yourself a winter jacket and toque.

The Rundown is great fun. But if you expect Beck / Travis slash, don't look here!

"Can you smell what the DM's cooking?"

(...you probably can. I had to open the door to let out the smoke.)

*smooch* Now, unless you're taking part in [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, and happened to draw my name (think of the odds), I'm certainly not asking you to.
