Amongst all the card offers flying about, I tend to find myself reluctant to fill them out. "What," I ask myself, "If they don't really want to send me one?"

But my mailbox is lonely and has had one non-bill piece of mail delivered to it, so if anyone would like to send me a holiday card, my address is here.

I have two finals left, tomorrow morning, and the morning after that. I've been getting progressively sicker since I write my first one, and finally caved and went to the doctor this morning. I have a cough-suppressing serious narcotic prescribed -- I had to sign forms and everything. It makes the coughing hurt less, but it makes me drowsy and loopy. I have three options:

1. Write the finals, still coughing and hacking but also out of my head;
2. Write my finals with Dayquil/cough syrup, coughing so hard I can't breathe; or
3. Use the doctor's note I was given to get out of writing them until February.

I really don't want to write two finals in February. I will forget what I have learned, and I just want these things to be over with. On the other hand, I do not want to disrupt the 500 other people writing exams in the gym, and I am far from 100%.

Use the doctor's certificate. You REALLY don't want to take an exam while you're out of it. I did that once, back in year 12 and it was my worst exam of the lot. As for option 2? Everyone else in the exam hall will lynch you if you cough all the way through it.

Use the doctor's certificate and take the time to get better. Really. *hugs* Get better soon, dude.

It turns out that this stuff really is heavy duty, because the half tablet I took yesterday afternoon was still in my system this morning, but most of the wooziness was gone. This enabled writing.

It was only anthropology, so. *G* I'm pretty certain it went well.

*snuggles you* I was wondering if you were ok, since I hadn't seen you for a bit. Feel better!

And yeah, use the doctors' note. Even a vague rememberance of work from two months ago will be better than finding out later that you wrote an essay on dandilions in the middle of your science final. ;)

Yay! Someone noticed my absense. (I sometimes wonder how long it would take people to notice if I disappeared from the face of the earth. *G*)

It was only anthropology this morning, and it turns out I still had that half-tablet in my bloodstream this morning enough to supress the cough (with cough syrup and cough candies) so I wrote it, and I think it went pretty well. It's tomorrow's I'm worried about...

Of course I noticed you were gone. ;)

Well, if you're not online now, I hope you're in bed already! Good luck if you do take the test!
