I don't suppose anyone would be up for a Doctor Who beta? Shortish, Captain Jack. *loves Jack*

[livejournal.com profile] sprat, [livejournal.com profile] grooviekittie: Brokeback is playing in 'Toon-town now.

Okay. I've seen the season now so I can actually do it.

It's sent.

So, in my head it was awesome. But I think it's likely just kind of *ass* on paper.

I know nothing about Doctor Who, I'm afraid. But yay, Brokeback! Where's it playing? Is it at the Roxie? I think I saw a poster there, at some point...

(Have you seen it yet? Is it good?)

I saw it last week at the Pacific (Cineplex Odeon) with a group of friends.

I quite liked it. It was a little more graphic than I was expecting, but this is me we're dealing with. It really didn't spoon feed the audience, which I rather adored.

I teared up a little at the end, and I'm not a crier. In fact, I think the last time a movie did that to me I was in grade seven.

(BTW, remind me to lend you Crash next time I see you. It's brilliant and written by one of the Due South guys.)

Also, no worries about the DW thing. *G* It turns out the story was awful anyway. I'm pondering not posting it at all.

THANK YOU!! I couldn't decide if I should go into S'toon to pick out a flower girl dress for my daughter (my dad's wedding) and you just made my decision for me! :D *fistpump*

Took long enough though, eh?

Hee! It's at the Pacific this week -- I'm not sure what's happening after Thursday, though.

I thought it was very good.

Yay for Brokeback! What'd you think?

Also, I don't think I can beta, but I can wait excitedly to read the DW story! *waits*

I quite liked it. I like that it didn't spoon-feed its viewers with exposition, that it respected our intelligence and made a grand statement by the fact that it didn't. I teared up a bit at the end, and I haven't done that in a movie since grade seven.

Also, WRT the Who story, [livejournal.com profile] _bounce_ took a look at it, but don't hold your breath. It was great in my head and mediocre on paper.

My mojo, she is lost again.
