Don't suppose anyone's up for a Who beta? It's not turning out too terribly badly, I swear, but I'd still like someone to give it a thorough going over, to completely rip it to shreds.

(Yes, I know, I need a better system for getting betas that doesn't annoy the 99% of you who couldn't care less.)

I'd be happy to do it if you want, provided you don't need, like, a 12-hour turnaround. But you should know in advance:

1. I don't know the canon. At all. I can check for internal consistency, but not canon adherence.

2. I'm not a mean beta, but I am an obsessively thorough and opinionated one, and my beta style may not exactly the right match for you. (I'm not saying it is or isn't, just - I want you to know, going in.)

(Oh, and 3: I beta using comments and track changes in Word. Some people have issues with that, and I understand them, but it's still the best way for me to work.)

If you decide you want me to do it, send the document to thefourthvine at gmail dot com, along with any specific things you want me to look for/check/form opinions about/discuss great length. (And if you do, you should definitely still accept any other beta offers you get. Multiple betas are best, and anyway, I've been known to flake out on people.)

If you could, that would be amazing. I won't need a 12-hour turn around, especially considering I was pretty sure I was almost done, and then I wasn't. I got a bit side tracked into some mythology research, then I decided it would be kind of lame and like hitting people over the head, and, basically, long story short? I shall send it to you tomorrow, if that's all right.

1. Internal consistency rocks.

2. I would rather have someone be downright awful then 'oh, yeah, it's good' or just point out one or two typos, which has happened in the past. *G*

3. Works for me. I do have OfficeMac.

(Specific things I would like nit picked shall be included in the body of the email.)

Thank you so much!

Works for me! Send it to me whenever you're ready; any time should be good.

*looking forward to it, but patiently*

Just in case you're wondering about that odd email from that girl with the funny name you just received -- it's the story. *G* Sorry it took so long for me to get it to you, but things come up, you know?

Thanks again for agreeing to take a look at it.
