So, apparently, there was another Ocean's 11 ficathon open for sign-up. And none of you told me. For shame.*

The past tense involved makes me v. v. sad.

Perhaps I'll just have to write one for myself anyway. It shall be a ficathon of one!

... Yes, going back to sit in my corner again.

* Joking voice! Really, no one's fault but my own, but this makes two ficathons I've been looking forward to that I missed. This might have been the year I conned someone into writing me Rusty/Tess!

Edit: So, it turns out I could have gotten my MacBook customized through the Campus Computer store, and with their laptop promotion, I would have gotten Office (instead of my no word processing program), a printer/scanner that wasn't broken, paper, and a case for the computer. For no extra charge. Not too pleased with the staff member who told me otherwise.

We could trade! I could give you this: Image, and you could help me out with my little problem.

(I would owe you more than one icon, btw.)

Okay, when I get home tonight I'll check and see what installers I have on my external, otherwise I know there's a disk in my ess office. At the peak two years ago, we had 16 mac laptops within our ess. It was ridiculous.

Let me know if there's anything else you need -- I have some very talented friends!

(and the icon rules!)

Okay, I have Office 2004 and Adobe Creative Suite (version 1, though I know that someone has CS2) on Tess (I saw her in the future shop flyer for the same price we got her for... so much for a great online deal! Still VERY happy with her!)

So, we'll either have to schedule an AIM transfer or I'll mail you the disk. I don't think that ysi, mu or sendspace can take uploads that big...

c'mon, how much do you love me? :D

Ooooh. If there were to be CS2 (with InDesign) available, I might love you even more.

I'm afraid I can't really help you with that but there's always OpenOffice? It has a really shithouse word counter but other than that, seems to work okay...

Does it have a spreadsheet/graphing program as well? I'm afraid that's a bit make or break.

It does but I don't know how good it is, since I don't have to deal with maths that often. (and I was slightly scared by the algebra in an article I had to read this week on how art markets function. It had *symbols* and letters in. *whimpers*

Rusty/Tess is win, and there should be more of it.

... I'm just going to have to write it myself, I suppose. It's all very sad.
