Am not dead. Merely dealing with the fact that school and my multitude of extracurricular involvements have exploded all over my life. And zombie penguins. There were zombie penguins for a while, but I have dealt with them. If I make it through the next three weeks, though, it's smooth sailing.
Okay, not smooth sailing, because this is a heinous school term, but it is less of death by the end of October, save for the two large design projects coming due in November. Yay!
There are few details here because a) I am just not that interesting, and b) any of the details make me really incredibly easy to find. If I don't have you flisted, really, all you're missing out on is school blathering – and really, I'm kind of a dork.*
I've been averaging 12-15hrs at school per day for the last week or so, and OMG, I think I am going nuts. I slept here one night last week. I just did not leave the engineering building. (This is not all class, labs, volunteer, and homework – I have a few weekly 7am meetings, and I do a yoga class at the same time on Wednesday mornings.)
* Except I am told that due to my interests/eclectic interests/incredibly eclectic interests/having leave the room when people start arguing Star Trek/having social skills/really not actually being big into certain elements of geek culture (I fail at L33T), I am actually classified as a nerd.
"Nerd" just sounds more insulting to me, though. "Dork," in my mind is much goofier, and yes, I do know that a dork is actually a whale penis.

Date: 2006-10-06 03:34 am (UTC)Where did September go? It's like I just woke up last weekend and realized that I haven't done any work since the beginning of school and now it's OCTOBER!?! OMG. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!?!
I'm also taking a French class, and let me tell you -- WAY different learning style that I'm TOTALLY not used to. Yikes!
and OMFG, did you see George!?! I love the George. He and L are here right now... and instead I'm at work. ::pouts:: He told us about the coffee stunt -- it sounds so cool! I'm excited to see how it turns out!
GAH! Too much going on right now! (Though luckily, I moved from being a 40 minute drive home to a 10 minute drive home. Much more sleep is had.)
GEORGE!

Date: 2006-10-08 08:14 am (UTC)I totally saw G and L when they were here. They even remembered who I was, which totally impressed me. I also ran into one of your members at the AgBio sectional conference we had in town this weekend, and he was totally bummed about missing G and L as well.
Yay for your new, close apartment.
(When are you done, btw? I am thinking it is not this year.)
