I have only just started reading xkcd. I do not know why it has taken me this long, for lo, it is made of awesome. I think I might love it more than Dinosaur Comics, but this is a close thing. My opinion as to which is more win changes every time I read one or the other -- whichever is freshest in my mind wins my affection.

This, said, I'm a bit of a dork.

A couple of my favourites...

You're the second person on my flist to get into xkcd in the last two days. I love that comic to bit. Now I want to go dig out my favourites in case you haven't seen them, because while Dinosaur Comics are mildly amusing, xkcd is way better:

http://www.xkcd.com/c259.html (O Rly? I hardly knew 'er!)
http://www.xkcd.com/c210.html (90s flowchart)
http://www.xkcd.com/c166.html (Misusing slang to annoy teenagers)
http://www.xkcd.com/c180.html (if you die in Canada, you die in RL!)

and maybe my very favourite: http://www.xkcd.com/c202.html (YouTube comments. Tell Louis Armstrong to his FACE!)

(Also, thanks for the album, dude! I realized it was the full album when it took a while to download, heh. Will give it a listen tomorrow night).

So, embarrassing revelation? I possibly read the entire archive. It's just that I had to stop tagging them because they swallowed my del.icio.us.

But, OMG. The O Rly one is totally something two of my friends do, only with "Your face!" and "Your mom!" and "Yeah, well, your mom's FACE." The Canada one is up on one of the boards at work, which is actually what prompted this renaissance. I think I am going to have to bring in the Fourier transform one, because we use FTIR for measurement.

I love this comic, and I want it in book format, yes.

(Hee! I hope you enjoy it -- let me know what you think. I'm so enamoured of it right now.)

Oh, xkcd. We nubs it, we does. Did you ever see the one featuring Cory Doctorow? Because lo, it is awesome.

And I must say, Le Doctorow is a good sport.

Wait, are you saying that I'm the only one who actually has a special posting cape?

I have to admit, the "gluing captions to your cats" one kills me every time. Actually, I just printed it to hang in my cube. ;)

I love it muchly, yes. The alt text on the original always kills me: "Hey, at least I ran out of staples."

I am maybe bringing the FT one to my work place, as we do use it.

I LOVE XKCD. Some of them throw me into fits, especially any of the raptor obsession ones. I also die laughing at the one that has the chart of intelligence versus proximity to cats. XD I even bought the "Stand back! I'm going to try SCIENCE" shirt. Yay for xkcd!

Oh, goodness, I started tagging all my favourites on del.icio.us, but it quickly became apparent that my tagging the entire archive was just not going to work.
