stacyx! May the coming year be full of better things.
August is generally not one of the most awesome times to have a birthday. Everyone's caught up in the last push of summer, taking vacations, so when you try to organize something for your bday, everyone is either out of town or too cool to spend time with you.
This is my way of saying that there are no plans as of yet. I keep trying to plan a potluck picnic in the park, but it keeps falling through.
At least this year there have been no repeats of last year's theatrics. (Reference: stolen bike seat + broken mount + bungee cord tangled in gears + bungee cord snapping from pressure, into my rear + gear seizure + flying over handlebars + 13 hours at school = NOT YAY)
Facebook is kind of revolutionary in telling all of your friends that HEY! It's my birthday, m'kay? though, which is made of awesome.
22 has no major landmarks associated with it, except for the promise of another year, hopefully made of more awesomeness. I think I'm going to start making up landmarks to go with birthdays. 23 next year will be 'multiplies to six.' 24 will be (x^n)(x^n+1).
I have also decided that I am allowed to be as dorky as I want on my birthday. It is one of my most basic rights.
