cherry: (Cherry)
We have snow! About a quarter inch of it right now, and it's getting deeper. Which really does make things pretty, but is rather bad for all the crop still out in the fields. We had a volleyball home game, and it was just drifting when we came out of the school.

I kept lines. And I felt awful for sitting out, but if I'd played I only would have injured my back more. It's a basketball injury from last season acting up again - soft tissue damage to my lower back. I'm hoping that if I rest it, I'll be good to play for this weekend's tournament. We just got the schedule, and we're playing in the city straight through from 9 AM until 2:30. We're going to be eating on the bench while we're off-shift. The coach has given the entire team an 11PM curfew for Friday night.

Last Saturday's tournament was long. By the time our last set was finished, I'd been up for more than twelve hours. Closer to seventeen by the time we actually got home. We placed decently but didn't win. Stopped at a roadside A&W on the way back, which was a novelty. Of course, because it was a novelty, I didn't have money for supper. But everyone kept trying to feed me, so I did all right.

Probably shouldn't have gone to taekwon-do on Sunday, but my back wasn't feeling as badly then.

The 'Third Watch' premier really disappointed me. No one was in character. Fred is not dead. Faith is being screwed over again. Alex and Kim were missing. The way the characters interacted and behaved was something less than believable, and I suspect that many sets were knawed to pieces during the making of this episode.

Alias... Ehh. I can take it or leave it at this point. I seem to be the only one around who's fond of Will. Will, Marshal, and Weiss make the show for me. ReluctantSuperAgentWill would be fun to watch. Of course, the plot holes are fun to poke at.

Due to tournaments Saturday, I haven't seen any new Smallville, because the one station that carries it airs the program Saturday afternoon in a seemingly random time slot. Another fun show. Huge, gaping plot holes. There are several characters you want to hit with a heavy book, but the rest are neat.

CSI is like crack. But not in the weird, gun waving, hallucinating way... Okay. Maybe it's like that, too. But what I meant was in the addicting way. CSI: Miami is less fun.

Still trying to find time to watch my West Wing premier. I never seem to have a solid two hours, and I just keep getting more and more behind on shows. However, sight unseen, I think I can safely say that we could use more Joey and more Margaret.

Because you can always do with more Joey and Margaret.
