Oct. 13th, 2005 03:50 pmThere was a small incident with my internet provider/modem, so I've been netless the last four or five days. Miss me?
This is inconvenient because of the fact that my hours for work are only online. This is less inconvenient because I've been putting in 13 and 14 hour days at school. I'm in the middle of another one actually, but today I have an hour break because my genetics lab was easily completed (my biggest problem seems to be reading the questions through -- like where it has 'linked' underlined and bolded, and I miss it ... )
Anywho...
Had lunch with
sprat on Saturday, so there are now three people who can prove I actually exist in some non-digital medium type manner. (
lolitabug, any idea when you'll have the pictures from the Western Engineering Championships scanned, mmm?)
sprat was neat and amusing and I think we annoyed the hell out of the people who ran the sushi place, because we were the customers who linger for seventeen million hours over a cup of coffee, or in this case bubble tea. She loaned me Wilby Wonderful, which is squee inducing and in need of iconing -- anyone know of any caps other than at Stormymouse's site? Hers are nice but only CKR and PG centred -- and, um, thefirstseasonofSGA.avis, which I am slowly watching out of order because that's the way I do things. (Ford! Tank top! Why didn't someone tell me?) I'm torn about the bunnies, because I really need to write something, but it's not like I have time at the moment. I also need to post something interesting to my LJ, so that the mass defriending can end.
Um. Interesting. Did you know that the reason that ketchup doesn't just run out is that it isn't even a Newtonian fluid? (Most fluids are Newtonian fluids.) It's a plastic fluid, and as such acts as a solid until a critical shear rate is reached. After that point, it behaves as a Newtonian fluid would.
