This was going to be a 'Dear Festividder' letter, but alas, that was not to be. This is because I did not know until after assignments started going out that my name was not on the participants list.
yhlee is absolutely fantastic for organizing
festivids, and can in no way be expected to rematch everyone because I wasn't online last night; I cannot help but feel a little sad, however.
Maybe I'll be able to pick up a pinch hit, though, and participate that way. Again, my tendency to not always be online might interfere with that, but I have hope. I fully intend to spread cheer!

Date: 2009-11-19 02:21 am (UTC)Selfishly, having some sort of deadline would probably have been good for me: my vidding output has been nil lately, and that's starting to wear.
You should still post your requests!
I think I might feel terribly guilty about it, given that there's no guarantee I'll be vidding for someone -- also, given that my posting frequency has gotten so low.

Date: 2009-11-19 02:43 am (UTC)As for what I'd requested:
(Note: posted as a comment here only because I somehow know that I will really, really, will not make a post about it.
Shelter (movie): A character study (of the character of the vidder's choice) would be lovely.
Dead Like Me (TV): I have yet to see a Roxy vid, and I love her to pieces. A full-cast vid would also tickle me.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Movie): I would love one of two opposite things: something strange and haunting, or something full of joy.
Pushing Daisies (TV): Olive!
Amelie (Movie): I love the colour, texture, and movement of this film -- please, just have fun.
Hero (Ying Xiong) - 2002 (Movie): This movie gives me chills. I'm particularly fond of Flying Snow, but it's a movie full of absolutely gorgeous footage, and I wouldn't want to restrict its use.
It's mostly about characters I adore or movies whose visuals and textures I adore. I think some time I should give myself permission to just make something gorgeous and dreamy from a source that I love, and shut down my over-active brain.*
* Of course, the last time that I tried to do that, I ended up with a Yeats-inspired epic destiny/tragic legend/doomed relationships Merlin vid.
