I think we've almost got the last of the stuff from the previous school year sorted away.

Finally got my portfolio back. Inside was a note from my creative writing teacher, which I'm kind of proud of. Okay. I'm very proud. It's like feedback, only on paper, and I actually got some of it. ::G::

You are a writer. If you wanted to pursue it as a career, a lifestyle - you could. Your writing is mature and sophisticated well beyond your years. Be proud of your gift - celebrate it!

Your writing is filled with strong, vivid images that leave me stunned - much of it seems effortless for you. Write. Please write & publish.

Is it wrong that I had to stop myself from going 'Squeee!' when I read that?

Received my official transcripts in the mail. Turns out that my blacking out during finals only hurt my Bio mark. That went down, but I had to write two chapter exams during the final slot, as well as the final, due the the running out of classtime in that class.

My math mark went up. From my final. And my B30 Math, at that. B30 is supposedly phenomenally hard. Ninety percent of the people taking it finish with less than a 70%. Thirty percent fail. So, to come out of the final with a 91% is pretty damn awesome. I'm kind of proud of myself for that, too, especially with the lost time during the writing period. They must have curved our A30 marks, because my A30's gone up since the last official transcript.

I'm missing my WildLifeManagement credit as well. My entire class is. We took it first term, but they told us it would be on this transcript. Not there. It would be nice to have it, since I took the course and worked hard to pass.

Well, okay, I didn't work that hard. It was Wild Life Management after all. But I passed it, and I'd like my credit.

See...

Cool. When a comment like that comes from someone who reads the writing of hundreds of students over his/her lifetime, you know it's really special. Congrats.

Wild Life Management? That must be the Saskatchewan equivalent of Career and Life Management here in Alberta. heh ;)

::Grins:: I am rather proud.

And Wild Life Management... How should I put it? Would you like a piece of cake or two? I still have ones left over from the cake walk.

Whoa. Congrats on the Teacher Feedback and on the general all around good marks.

Wild Life Managment? *snickers* Sounds like one of those classes that's really just a waste of time, like the get out of sport free class we had at my old school. Health and Human Developement. You could take it rather than do a unit of Sports or PE (Because they're optional after year 8)

*snuggles* Congratulations!

::G:: Thanks.

But I'm still not sure why a body would want to drop gym class. You get to do sports and play games... WLM is something that all but one of us took. Much fun. Except for it was in the coldest room in the school and they were only running one furnace this year due to cutbacks. There was a leak in the window and it was a cold winter, even for us. We spent a lot of time in our winter coats.

I agree with your teacher. Keep writing. Not just fanfic, either. The sooner you get started, the sooner you can get published. Keep 'em flying, Cherry!
