My (recurring) general vid preferences are as follows: motion, character studies, humour, seriousness lurking below humour, humour spun out of seriousness, serious deconstructions, SCIENCE, magic, things that are just plain fun, things that are thinky, things that are things, awesome ladies, awesome characters in general, and awesome adventures. I love things that defy genre and I ALSO love things that embrace and celebrate their genre.
As for the specifics:
Continuum
I have a lot of feelings about Sonya Valentine, and about Sonya/Travis. Which is to say, I'd adore a Sonya Valentine vid - or a Sonya/Travis vid. I'm also going to be happy with pretty much anything about this show focusing on its world-building, on the past and future colliding, on politics or terrorism, or on Kiera's dawning realizations about the world she comes from. All of these could easily incorporate Sonya, which would make me happy. Because Sonya. SONYA.
Schitt's Creek
I adore Alexis! She's so great. I'd love to see an Alexis vid.
The Good Place
I just think the world would be a nicer place with another Tahani vid in it. I love everyone else on this show too, but I think she gets lost in the shuffle sometimes. A vid about her and/or her relationships with the other characters would be lovely.
Muppet Treasure Island [SAFETY]
This movie is a blast. Please have as much fun making a vid as the muppets did making the movie.
Ponyo [SAFETY]
If we matched on this, you already know how gorgeous and charming and lovely it is, and I'm excited to see whatever you do with it. Please make the Ponyo vid of your heart and dreams.
Santa Clarita Diet
Santa Clarita Diet is so much fun, I love everyone in this bar. Maybe something about Joel and Shiela being failboats? I love Abby and Eric as well, so something ensemble would also be cool.
Legend of Fei
I'm taking a bit of a gamble on requesting Legend of Fei because I'm actually still working my way through it, but I love it so much so far???? And I'm told the fandom is non-existent. Recipient, if you matched me on this I'm hoping you're not laughing at me and whispering '"there's a reason the fandom is small." Anyway, I love this a lot so far - it's charming, bi4bi, and I love the herbo/malewife vibes and how Treebo wants to do A'Fei's hair and also for her to peg him. Also, the show is just so darn pretty.
