Pointless Volleyball Ramblings

Five hours of running and playing volleyball. Fun was had. During the supper break, a couple of friends and I ate, drove to the store for a drink, cruised the town, then went back and sat around on the highjump mats. To tell you just how long it takes to cruise through our town: Supper break was only about twenty minutes long. I have to remember to bring a waterbottle to the next day, because the town water suddenly smells (and tastes) like something's died in it.
I've got my overhand serve down!
(Yes, that seems a silly thing to be excited about, but I was getting somewhere around 9 for 11 tries. I'm a pretty good underhand server, but my overhand has always been lacking. And dangerous to people on our side of the net, because it's not that I don't have the power...)
We're talking about getting new jerseys. Nice, sleeveless ones. Works for me, because I lost mine last year anyways. And our coach was always telling us not to push up the sleeves on our regular jerseys.
We're probably going to be talking a ten player team. We graduated one player last year, lost one or two others for various reasons, and there are around ten coming up out of my sister's class. Five tournaments lined up so far, one of them a home tournament (Yay!), plus games.
Probably going to have practices on odd numbered days on our school's schedule. The bad thing being that I have band on Wednesday, possibly taekwondo on Thursdays/Sundays, and I'm going to have to work on this service station we're taking over with creepy stalker boy's family.
Some of them are going to be seven AM practices. Which is a mixed blessing. What with my hatred of mornings, and the half hour we live out of town. I'd rather have to get up early and get to go to practice, though.
I've also managed to lose my kneepads. Tore the house apart today before I left, and ended up frantically begging and borrowing old pairs from friends. Ended up with more pairs than I could wear, due to people saying 'I'll check, but I can't promise,' my phoning other people, and then near everyone coming through.
(It's not that I'm forgetful. Really. .... Well, maybe. I just tend to put things down without noticing, and forget that I have them.)
We've got tomorrow off, but on Wednesday we go through until ten in the evening. First season practice is probably going to be the Tuesday morning after the long weekend. Next Tuesday, actually.
Did you know that they have blue Pepsi now? I bought a bottle just because it looked neat and tempted me, but it was actually pretty good.
