I broke my first board tonight. 3/4 pine, modified side kick. I have less power that way, but more accuracy. Which is still enough power, because the bottom part skittered off across the floor.
I got it on my first try, too. And I was the first one in the class. He asked for volunteers, but he was looking straight at me. I was a bit nervous, because I hadn't seen anyone break one yet, and, y'know, putting your foot through a slab of wood...
But it was fun. ::Grins:: It was fun, and I didn't feel it at all, and now I'm all proud of myself. Which I maybe shouldn' t be, so much, but I am.
... Note to self: Work on coherence.

Date: 2002-11-25 08:16 pm (UTC)I'm actually really looking forward to the next time we get to break. As nervous as I was then, now I'm confident. That was a pretty quick switch. I'm even pretty sure it's one part of my grading I'll deffinately get.
