I have... absolutely nothing going on today. Nothing. At all.
It's my first day off since mid-November. I slept until quarter after twelve. I'm lounging in my nice new fleece-and-flannel pjs, listening to my new Foo Fighters CD. And I got *two* feedbacks on the GenX fic.
Life is good.
I managed to pull off our school's Christmas dinner without a hitch (As vice-president of the SRC, it was basically my responsibility) so I'm kind of proud of that. All turkeys were delivered to the right houses, all slips for what to bring were given to the correct families, all the food showed up, I bought all the other food we needed, I got the dishes, tables were set up, steam table rented and moved, and I even managed to keep the electricity in the gym going all day - Long story short, breakers blow really easily, and our school is not rationally wired. It took about fourty five minutes to locate all the correct breaker junctions throughout the school.
I'm thinking I'm going to try to get some writing done over the break. Unfortunately, there are many things bouncing around in my head at present.
So... Anyone have any interest at all in any of the following? ::Looks cute and innocent:: Just in a 'It's always more tempting to write if you know that someone's looking forward to reading it; or at least not dreading that fact that you wrote and posted it' way.
Higher Ground: Gen-X/X-Force. Time travel. Only we don't really know it's time travel at first. Fanaticism, family ties, and familiar faces. In a slightly trippy vein, ala Karma Downs. Going to be lengthy.
Falter in Grace: This one wasn't my idea! Honest. Jenny wants me to write Legolas/Aragorn. Upon hearing this, certain people ::CoughLindyCoughBounce:: decided to encourage it. But, hah! It has a title, but no plot.
Glass Ghosts: Alias. SleeperAgent! Will. Will very close to cracking. Do not know if I will make it apparent from the start that it's Will. He's never seen Syd's mom, right? And she's got no way of knowing that he's friends with her daughter. May include the death of one evil British man.
Manifest Destiny: [X-Files/X-Men] The last installment of my crossover series.
I should really finish this some time soon. I mean, the previous two stories are spread over... Geez. I posted 'Letonia' like a year and a half ago.
Ahem. Yes. Mutant!Scully. The return of Doggett and Mulder! The real deal with Evan! The conspiracies deepen! Alex and Marita! Explosions, (more) trouble with rooftops, a funeral, and a rumour of Rogue alive precipitates disaster.
Boromir fic! As of yet, untitled. But, none the less, Boromir fic. I know I've said I don't think I could capture him truly, but the other four Boromir fans out there don't seem to be writing fic that I can find. Plus, I think it's kind of an original idea.
What if the ring wasn't the only thing speaking through Boromir?
He is a man of his country, after all.
So... ::Looks cute again:: Anything pique anyone's interest?

Duely noted. And you will get that story I promised you. Just not today, in particular. It's percolating in my mind. It's coming along.

Re:
Date: 2002-12-30 05:48 pm (UTC)See, I got two options. I can prod them, only that involves getting hold of a trepanning kit, cutting a hole on the back of your head and then prodding your brain or I can just prod you. :)
Prodding you seemed like less effort all around.
Have a great new year's!
Legolas/Aragorn!!!!!
Did I mention I'd really really really really enjoy Legolas/Aragorn fic??? :):):) Pweeeaaassseeee????

Date: 2002-12-30 01:19 pm (UTC)When they run into each other and become strange, mutated and melded ideas that pull from various fandoms, that's where I have problems.
Buffy/LotR, say. Or, hey, XF/XM. Or various other concoctions that I'm not going to touch, because even within my own head they're tenuous threads of connection at best, and tend to lack all lucidity.
