cherryCoding is bad for your brain. So is thinking 'Heeeey! I'm gonna make my site nice and fancy with pretty pictures!'
Because then, you get all proud of yourself, after sorting through the random crap Google's images search turns up. And you have all sorts of pretty pictures, but because you use two programs to edit and save picture files, and it takes three steps to save the damn files, it takes you a really long time to do what you think is going to be around 60 pics, but turns out to be 100+ and you still have a couple of pages to go.
But then you're like, hey, forget this. I'm going to stick all the pictures onto a page so I can show them off! Only it turns out that you mislink the directors on something like 70 of them, so you go and do it again. And through this, you discover that the twenty-some step process of saving the pictures blew them up to 103x103 pixels so they won't fit on LJ, and you have to go and go through the entire process again, only it takes longer this time because you have to replace the original files and then reupload the entire file.
So you do that, because you want to get it over with, and you fall into this groove, and the next thing you know it's 4:30 AM and you're looking at the end of a story without remembering how you got there (and then it comes to you that in a half-awake daze you decided to go rec-surfing) and you decided that you should probably try to figure out what you just read.
Only it turns out that Lucius Malfoy is doing a very pregnant hermaphrodite Harry (for his own good, apparently) while Sirius watches from a corner in the cell; and Sirius has been sleeping with Snape and he's pregnant too, because Voldemort wants them to reproduce and Voldie blew off Remus's head and splattered his brains all over poor Siruis -- but it's all okay because Lucius loves Harry and Harry loves Lucius and Snape's always loved Sirius.
Oh, and Harry's catonic because Hermione was killed by the kid she had because Voldimort wouldn't let them deliver it early and she's been dying for weeks and no one actually knows Sirius is pregnant yet and you're thinking it's a really, really good thing that you don't remember a *word* because the paragraph you just read will scar your brain for a good long time to come.
