Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean the other night, because it *finally* made it to the cheap seats. Fun, fun movie; though I don't quite buy Bloom as a blacksmith.

I'd been told that Depp was the Gayest Pirate Ever, but I wasn't quite prepared for just how very, very gay that was.

And Bloom is still pretty. At least he wasn't quite as girly this time.

I think I just contradicted myself... ::Cough:: You know what I mean, though? He's not the sort who can't be pretty, but he was a less-girly pretty.

Depp was GREAT in that role though! He was so amusing to watch! :) Damn, I wish my copy weren't so choppy, or I'd watch it... it's still in the real theatres here! I wonder when it'll come out on DVD...

Depp *is* great fun. Very, very gay, and very, very fun.

The movie doesn't slash itself, despite that, though -- perhaps because of it. It's a nice change. Apparently, he was going for a tribute to one of the Rolling Stones.
