Combination GIP and MeMe. Aren't you all lucky?

I just felt I had to get my Saskatchewan-isms in on this one...

Age: 18
Where did you grow up? Rural Saskatchewan

1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks?
Well, if there's a river, it's the South Saskatchewan. Otherwise, we're talking about sloughs, or still water in the ditches.

I suppose that if I were to come across a stream, it would be a stream. But we don't have one of those around here. Around most places, actually...

2. What's the thing you push around the grocery store/supermarket?
Shopping cart

3. A metal container to carry a meal in?
Lunchkit. Though I've never seen anyone use a metal one. Ever.

4. The thing that you cook bacon and eggs in?
Frying pan.

5. The piece of furniture that seats three people?
Couch/futon. Sofa may be used occasionally, but not frequently.

Also: "Could you pass me a serviette? I've dropped my poutine on the chesterfield."

6. The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof?
Eavestroughs line the roof, downspouts take it away.

7. The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening?
If it's covered, it's a porch. But people don't sit in their porch, they take their boots off and hang their coats. Some people have a deck (raised) or a patio (flat to ground) but these aren't common.

8. Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages?
Pop. Pop. And again, pop. I'd never actually seen 'soda' written until I was in the states, and I can happily live without seeing it again.

9. A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup?
Pancakes or crepes.

10. A long sandwich designed to be a whole meal in itself?
Sub.

11. The piece of clothing worn by men at the beach?
Swim trunks.

12. Shoes worn for sports?
Sneakers or running shoes. Though running shoes should technically only be used for running, and each sport (theoretically) uses a different type of shoes.

13. Putting a room in order?
Cleaning up.

14. A flying insect that glows in the dark?
Firefly

15. The little insect arthropod that curls up into a ball?
"Little rolly bug that's fun to play with."

16. The children's playground equipment where one kid sits on one side and goes up while the other sits on the other side and goes down?
Teeter-totter or see-saw.

17. How do you eat your pizza?
Put it in my mouth and chew.

You mean, how I get it there? I pick it up and put it in my mouth. Does anyone below the age of 70 actually eat pizza with a fork and knife?

18. What's it called when private citizens put up signs and sell their used stuff?
Garage Sale.

19. What's the evening meal?
Dinner/Supper. (Lunch can also be dinner. It really doesn't matter.)

20. The thing under a house where the furnace and perhaps a rec room are?
Basement. As in 'Cherry lives in the basement.'

Additional:
21. Two dollar coin?
Twoonie.

22. Winter hat?
Toque.

23. Long sleeved shirt with hood and front pocket?
Bunnyhug! If you call it a hoody in Saskatchewan, you're getting a serious beat-down.
