cherryI was talking with some friends the other day, and, apparently, all the bingos our Culture Club is getting from the Lions this quarter are Midnight-4.
First off, I should explain a couple of things. Culture Club is just a group of us who are going to go on a trip together. In past years, it's been through the school, but in September, the school board pulled their support. We work bingos at a hall in the city, running, doing paper in the back, and payouts, for a share of the profits. Since this is administered by Sask Gaming etc., we need licenses. The Elks and Lions sponsor us bingos.
So, that's out of the way.
But why are they defaulting all the Midnight-4 AM bingos to a school group? On school nights, no less. Counting paper, cashing out, and cleaning the hall takes until 5 AM. Driving home takes another hour for most of us. So we get home at 6 AM, and most people are on the bus by 8 AM, or 7:30.
Leaving us with A) No sleep, or B) As good as no sleep.
I've been in the unfortunate position of having a morning practice after one of those bingos. Hand eye coordination decreases proportionally with the amount of sleep that you have (not) gotten, and let me tell you, by the end of the day, it was actually starting to get really fun... With the power tools and all. When you get loopy enough, every thing's great.
