I'm really regretting switching out my angry/doomed icons at this point.

Long story short: Comp fixer crashed, I decided 'fsck this', and used it for the weekend. I did a bit of writing, and got some folders together of data to save by burning to disk.

My desktop is gone now. I get a blank blue screen. Nothing but a blank blue screen.

Now, my father denies that he has my systems disk, which I need for a reformat. He made me give it to him for safekeeping, and now says I never handed it over.

So, the data I was going to save was lost. I have no way to reformat my HD. And my Microsoft Office Suite, which I use for icons (PP), internet, data (Excel), and writing? The disk for that is missing, too.

It also is sounding like my car is going to blow up soon.

I feel your pain.

A BSOD is never a happy thing. We just finished redoing our entire harddrive. We haven't even reinstalled MSWord yet cuz we can't find the stoopid disk.

See for yourself if your dad has your systems disk. Most likely he does, he's just forgotten you gave it to him. Is this advice simplistic? Yeah, but it's the best I can do.

I'm going back home this weekend, I think, so I'm going to see if I can find it. The problem with this is that it could be anywhere, and he's going to freak if I go/ask if I can go through his stuff.
