There was a nice, long, (cut) post here about my design project, and how excited and dorky I am about it, but LJ just ate it. Bad LJ. No cookie.

(Using groundwater for the dispersion of hydrocarbon degraders for deep level bioremediation, if anyone is interested.) I know, I know, but I think it's cool and wicked interesting.

Endoplasmic reticulum is part of your cells. It's a network of folded membranes, and comes in two sorts: rough and smooth. The rough stuff is studded with ribosomes, which are involved in protien synthesis.
