Want to hear something funny?

I cannot, for the life of me, remember how old I am. I am not joking. It has been a problem for years. I can never remember if I'm, say, twenty, or twenty-one. I couldn't remember at 18/19 either (oh, I knew I was old enough for legal drinking at 19, but I couldn't remember if the drinking age was 18 or 19).

For example: The last two or three weeks, I've been telling people I am 20. It was recently pointed out to me that I have, in fact, not been 20 for the last four months.

Taxonomic classifications? Bernoulli's equation? Random and useless information? No problem. Ask me my age, however, and I am lost. My mind, she is falling apart even more quickly than I had anticipated.

Are there any little silly things that you guys forget? I'm not talking about normal things (though if I had a dollar for every time I'd misplaced my keys -- well, let's just say that Christmas shopping would have taken care of itself this year, and I'd be providing a round of bubble tea for my friendslist).

Are there any odd, random things that you misplace or forget or get confused? A quirk of mine: I can't say 'astronomer.' It comes out 'astromoner' every. time.

Oh my goodness, I am every stereotype ever.

Words. I'm really, really bad with words and names for things. I'll be talking and then start going 'and it's the thing with the thing and the thing. Y'know? It has channel 7 and pictures and news and things?' or I'll have to resort to calling a cup a water recepticle or something. I do it all. the. time. Occasionally, I"ll only be able to remember a word for something in another language. It's a pretty normal thing to forget but it's really bad and happens all the time, especially when I'm tired.

I also get really caught on words when I'm stuttering and have to actually spell it out, since I can't say it for the life me. I also appear to have a strange stutterign induced inability to read latin aloud, but that's just weird. And something that seems to have transferred to other languages on occasion.

Hee. I've pulled the 'meet at the time at the place with the thing' once or twice myself.

BTW, I love the C.J icon. My housemate sold me on the West Wing a few weeks ago and they're just started showing the sixth season on tv here. *waves hands* CJ! Josh! Growned-up Charlie! Leo! Poor Jed!

i can't remember anyone's birthday and i cannot say the phrase "strict scrutiny" to save my life. it always comes out "scrit strutiny" or something and then i cry, usually in front of my con law professor.
also, there have been several (read: many) times this semester when i could not for the life of me remember what year it was.

Awww. *snugs* At least, for me, 'astomoner' rarely comes up in class or casual conversation.

Also, OMG, someone suggested I try to add years and my birthday to figure out how old I was, and I was confused, because my math kept telling me I was 22, which, no. Turns out it is not yet 2007.

Are there still stats you can rattle off? Like your social or your date of birth? I have found myself doing math from my DOB sometimes when I get the brainfuzz. I get the confoozleds on the age sometimes too.

Also, there are magic elves that live in my house and misplace my keys. Professionally. Oh and pens.

I just tried doing the 'adding the years' thing, and got myself rather confused, because math kept telling me that I was 22.

Only, it's not actually 2007 yet, is it? *loses*

Heee. I will be at the student office at school, and I will be ready to leave, then I will pat my pockets down and pause. Before I've even opened my mouth, I sometimes get: "You lost them again?"

I just tried doing the 'adding to get your age' thing, and I got the year wrong myself.

No, I meant, I have trouble remembering what year it currently is. I keep going "...Is it 2006 or 2007?" ^_^;

Well, yes, so did I. I got the maths wrong because I was thinking it was 2007.

I've been getting my age wrong since I was nineteen, and it just gets worse. I am apparently 22 now, but once had to be convinced of this fact through Maths as I was rather certian I was 21.

*nod*

I attempted to convince myself through maths that I was 21, but kept coming up with 22. This is because it is not actually December 2007 yet, as I am not the proud owner of a time machine, yes.

I often forget my age, too. Sometimes I think I'm a year younger than I am, or a year older. It happens mostly about 3 or 4 months before my birthday, I'll just randomly think I'm the age I will be once I've had my birthday. Usually then a couple of weeks after my birthday I think I'm a year younger again. Sometimes 2 years. I blame my advanced age for this, but I can't remember what that age is ;)
