1) The new M.I.A. album, Kala is absolutely fantastic. I am so very in love with it. It's less radio friendly than Arular was, more cynical, but it has a depth that I think is really going to grow with replay. You really do love her or hate her.

2) I was at the optometrist the other day. This is notable only in that she called the other evening to see if she could give my phone number to her son. It's something she's joked about before -- she's been my eye doctor my entire life, and has mentioned before that she thought we'd get on.

My optometrist is trying to set me up with her son. I find this amusing on any number of levels.

1. Yay! I picked it up today and have only gone through the first couple of songs, but am really enjoying it and not mentally vidding Who to it at all.

2. Heeeee. I sort-of dated my optometrist's son for a while, but that doesn't really count as we literally grew up together (optometrist = mom's best friend's husband).

1. I adore her so much. Also, heee. Also, I'm trying to work on that vid I was talking about and it keeps making me hate Ten. Jerk. Rose and Nine were rather good (I block out 'Father's Day'), but mainlining Ten's treatment of people is Not On.

2. I think I'm having coffee with him, but I'm not really looking for anything right now, you know?

I was actally thinking about that particular vid of yours listening to one of my Folkfest finds... I should send you the song later. It's Sunday Girl</>, and it doesn't quite work but the right clips might be really interesting.

Coffee is good. Just make sure that you odn't do anything that you wouldn't want the optometrist to bring up next time she's hecking your prescription. ;)

Oh, it looks interesting. Please do hit me up with it at some point. Right now, I'm attempting to work with People as Places as People (http://www.seeklyrics.com/lyrics/Modest-Mouse/People-As-Places-As-People.html) by Modest Mouse, but it's, um, not quite right. (I just kind of keep hating Ten more and more? Am I a bad person?)
