I really enjoyed this vid. You worked incredible things with no lyrics, and the whole thing reads like a slow, inevitable descent into hell for all involved. I've always loved that the show bears hints of what is to come; Morgana looking so righteous in her assassination plot; Arthur's brief friendship with Lancelot; Gwen looking so innocent and painful at the death of her father; Morgana sheltering Mordred; and Merlin in amongst it all, desperately trying to stop things from coming apart at the seams. I especially loved the torch at 0:22, the dual poisoned chalices at 0:54, the sword connection around 1:40, the fantastic shift in tone at 1:43, and the amazing way the water slows down on the string crescendo at 2:21. It's all incredibly beautiful.
Thank you ever so much -- you're always much too kind to me. *G* To me, one of the most compelling things about this show are the threads of inevitability already running through the happy/crack.
I was a little nervous about working with an instrumental for a vid like this, but the texture and the tenor of the music were perfect, so I'm so very glad that it worked for you.
