The Govenator. Marriage Protection Week. Bush.

I love you guys, but I have deep-rooted fears about your country.

Now if you'll excuse me, I feel the sudden need for a drink.

Sod do we, dear...

Oh dear lord. I'm perhaps reading too much into this but it looks like a Bush-condoned attack on gay people. I thought that America had laws to prevent discrimination based on things like sexuality or race? Or is it okay if the president condones the attack?

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I'm sorry that you've got to deal with such horrifying politicians.

Race yeah, there are laws, but not for sexual orientation.

I'll have to admit to being ignorant of this. As far as I'm aware, it's illegal to discriminate against someone for sexual orientation in Canada. An employer could get themselves majorly sued, and I *do* know that sexual orientation is one thing a prospective employer is *not* able to enquire after -- along with religion, marital status, and political affiliation.

But then again, we're legalizing gay marriage...

Turns out I was right...

Because I wasn't sure, I checked. It's been against the law to discriminate against someone for sexual orientation for just over a decade.

This is... This is one of those things that you read, and you think *has* to be a parody, because there aren't actually people like this. They're horrible stereotypes the TV tells us exist, but no one believes in.

I'm just going to go and put my head down on my desk now.

I would so move out for three more years if it weren't, y'know, so COLD everywhere else.

Yeah, it's cold here.

I still think it's a fair trade-off. ::G::

Wow. I am SO GLAD right now that I'm a Canadian. I almost want Arnold to screw California up really badly so I can laugh at everyone that voted for him. But I'm laughing anyway, and I'd feel sorry for Jenny. I DO feel sorry for Jenny.

I also feel the sudden need for a drink.

But I love the Will icon! Hottie!

I loves my Will. I misses my Will. ::Shakes her fist at JJ::

You know what's sad? I didn't go have that drink. I went and did Calculus and my prelab for Mechanics.

I really, really, really need a drink.
