Race yeah, there are laws, but not for sexual orientation.

I'll have to admit to being ignorant of this. As far as I'm aware, it's illegal to discriminate against someone for sexual orientation in Canada. An employer could get themselves majorly sued, and I *do* know that sexual orientation is one thing a prospective employer is *not* able to enquire after -- along with religion, marital status, and political affiliation.

But then again, we're legalizing gay marriage...

Because I wasn't sure, I checked. It's been against the law to discriminate against someone for sexual orientation for just over a decade.
