I haven't really had anything interesting to say as of late.

Mainly because all the things I've been doing are school related, and even I don't find most of my courses interesting. *G*

Today, I present you with *cough* proof that sometimes one does in fact, equal two.

x=x
x^2=x^2
x^2-x^2=x^2-x^2
x(x-x)=(x-x)(x+x)
x=(x+x)
1x=2x
1=2

I was going to say the same thing, but it occurs to me that the implied operation at step 4 is probably dividing both sides by (x-x). Might want to explicitly include that as step 4a for the sake of completeness. :)

Er. Yes. I thought that was a little obvious -- after all, where else did the (x-x) go?

Then I realized that no everyone is coming off of their fourth straight term of calculus.
